Remote justice: information rights as a tool of empowerment

The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in a compulsory retreat from public spaces. While, for some, this displacement brought about engagement with digital technologies new and interesting ways, others, have proved to be the site of technology-facilitated abuse (TFA). Consequently, there are renewed calls regulation TFA, great deal discussion focussing on design enforcement criminal law. However, scope behaviour perpetrated with, or through, is much broader demands range responses that offer access justice. This paper argues information rights significant potential enable victims/survivors gain control over personal information, feel empowered, improve their mental health wellbeing. First, it defines how they accessed an EU perspective. Second, addresses relationship between legal empowerment context.
